Hey, all! I’ve got some exciting bits of news to share with you, an update of sorts, if you will.
A few weeks ago I started working at a new coffee shop in town (my first ‘real’ job ever). Today was actually the first day they were open, one of those soft openings where people who’re invited come in and sample the menu and whatnot. It was an opportunity for us to learn a bit of what works and what doesn’t, as well as how we work together. (That’s why today’s post is late, I just got home). I have to say that it went fairly well for us, and we got some good and encouraging feedback. The community has been waiting for us to open for a long time!
On top of this, almost like a reward for making it through the day, I came home to a package filled with beautiful books!
Are they not gorgeous? I’ve been waiting for these since October, so they were a wonderful surprise to come home to. These books are awesome, and y’all should give them a read. They’re fun and whimsical and deep and meaningful. I’m so excited to finally be adding them to my bookshelf!
For today’s last bit, I heard back from the team at Havok with a publishing date for one of my stories. Woot! On April 10th, Sebastian and Kurt will return for another (and I do believe even more wild) adventure. I can hardly say how pleased I am that their story is continuing through short fiction. It’s challenging and fun all at the same time, and I can hardly wait to hear what you think of this one!
I have yet to hear back about the second story, but that should be within the next couple of weeks.
That’s about all I have for now, folks, but check in next week, when I’ll be bringing in another fellow author for an interview!
