Hey, all, and welcome to the new site! I thought it was about time to get a bit of an update around here, but since I still liked the layout of everything, I just put on a fresh coat of paint. The coolest changes I’ve made are actually more noticeable on the PC than a cellular device, so if you have a moment, take a look around! What do you think? I’m particularly pleased about the book pages and how I could customize them to the theme of the stories.
You’ll notice, however, that the pages for The Journey Taken are no longer accessible, and that’s on purpose. After a month of Sundays’ worth of thought, I’ve decided to take that series off the market ─ not forever, mind, but for a while. Someday I’d like to revisit the story and give it its own sort of upgrade. I’ve already got a document on my computer full of notes on the changes I want to make, things that I believe will make the story stronger and more enjoyable. This first series was a great experience on all fronts for a first serious attempt at writing, but I know now that I can make it better, and I think it will be worth it.
But first? I want to finish Falconsbane! I would really, really like to get that project off the table and into your hands, and honestly, I would covet prayers for the inspiration, motivation, and the energy to move forward with it. This story is turning out to be quite the endeavor, and sometimes I wonder if I’m equal to the task, if I’ve bitten off more than I can chew making it into a trilogy and if I should just chop it down to the bare minimum and have done ─ or even bench it. Yet, the idea of doing that makes me terribly sad, like I’m missing out on something greater. Even though I’m having a hard time right now, I can’t stop thinking about this story and how much I want to tell it. I want to see what it will become when it’s finally finished.
On a completely separate note, I’ve just started reading an ARC of a book that’s releasing soon, and in a couple of weeks I’ll be able to show y’all the cover (which is pretty, in an enchanting kind of way ─ but that’s all I’m saying right now!) I’m excited to be a part of this event and coming alongside a fellow indie author during such a momentous occasion.
What about you? Are there any books coming out that you’re stoked about? Any that you’re waiting for?
